MISS CORNWALL CONTEST RAISES £5,725.45 FOR THE CHICKS CHARITY
10 June 2011The Miss Cornwall contest took place on Friday
10th June at the Berties, Newquay. Fifteen Cornish girls from throughout the
County took part in the show. Leading up to the final all the girls were given a
challenge, to raise as much cash for the Chicks Charity, following the Miss
England and Miss World ethos ‘Beauty with a purpose’.
The top fund raiser Serena Wardle aged 16 from
Falmouth, who was sponsored by Tribal Maniax, was crowned Miss Cornwall Charity
after raising over £1100. The Miss Cornwall Popularity award was won by Danika
Trenoweth from Penryn who was sponsored by A1 Appliances Danika, received 1840
votes. Leanne Ward from Torpoint was crowned Miss Cornwall 2011
Leanne was sponsored by Whitsand Bay Holiday
Park .
Leanne will now compete in the Miss England
Grand Final 18th and 19th July at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
She also won some great prizes including a TV
Presenters course & a photoshoot with Images,a smile makeover from the
Gental Dental and one years modelling contract with Impact Models.
Stylists to the finalists were, Top to Toe and
Celisimo.
The entertainment were Tricky & Sweet Flava
from the Big Dance Company & Jessica Harman
